🌬️ A Quick Note About Our Air Conditioning Estimates
Firstly, thank you so much for your continued support and the overwhelming interest in our air conditioning services. We’re incredibly grateful to be your go-to team—especially during these hotter months!
Due to the high number of requests we’re currently handling, we are no longer able to provide precise quotes in advance for air conditioning work. We understand this might cause a bit of uncertainty, and we truly appreciate your patience as we do our best to assist everyone promptly and professionally.
That said, here’s a general idea of what to expect:
Vehicles using R134a gas ("old gas") – estimated cost: £78.58
Vehicles using R1234yf gas ("new gas") – estimated cost: £137.98
💡 These estimates are based on the average vehicle holding 550 grams of gas. If your vehicle holds more or less, the pricing will be adjusted accordingly.
🛠️ How It Works:
We begin by recovering the gas currently in your vehicle’s system.
The gas is weighed and, if still usable, reused—helping to reduce waste and cost.
You’re only charged for any additional gas needed to complete the recharge.
🔍 Want to check what type and amount of gas your vehicle requires?
You can usually find this information on a label under your bonnet or in your engine bay. Alternatively, check your vehicle’s information booklet—it’s typically noted there too.
⚠️ Pressure Test and Diagnostic Charges:
If your vehicle fails the pressure test, a £15.00 + VAT tech and equipment charge will apply. The good news? If you proceed with a full diagnosis, this fee will be reimbursed against your diagnosis invoice. Our diagnostic rate is £89.42 + VAT per hour.
Thanks again for choosing us—we’re here to keep you cool and comfortable, one vehicle at a time.
Questions or ready to book? Just give us a shout.
Stay breezy, - Ayliff's Garage Team
